SUMMARY

MindTree Ltd. is a global IT Solutions company specializing in IT Services, Independent Testing, Knowledge Services and Product Engineering, including Software Product Engineering and Wireless Products. Given its 7 business units and unit-wise reporting requirements, MindTree found its employee utilization report generation process to be one-dimensional and cumbersome to read, limiting its value in decision making. To address these challenges, MindTree developed a utilization dashboard in Microsoft Visio Professional 2010 to provide management with the ability to gather, review, and drill down on business unit utilization data, eliminating the need for manually presented performance reports. Through the new dashboard, MindTree was able to reduce the time required to present 25 different recurring utilization reports by 10-20%, marking a significant productivity increase for the group.
