4. Get trained and certified with Microsoft Official Curriculum

Take a look at the SharePoint 2010 Guide to the Microsoft Official Curriculum. You can get two new certifications for SharePoint 2010 and related courseware:

• TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST: CONFIGURING SHAREPOINT 2010 (70-667). These courses cover configuration skills for SharePoint, including deployment, upgrade, management and operation of a server farm.

• IT PROFESSIONAL: ADMINISTRATING SHAREPOINT 2010 (70-668). These courses cover advanced SharePoint 2010 topics like capacity planning, topology design and performance tuning.

The Microsoft Certified Master certification also will be available for SharePoint Server 2010. For this certification, you must attend the training programme and complete three weekly exams and a qualifying lab exam.
