When I began my career at Microsoft, I was a consultant with MCS for about 3 1/2 years.  During that time, I worked with VB .Net, C#, ASP .Net, SQL Server, and SharePoint.  My first experience with SharePoint was integrating SharePoint Portal Server (SPS) 2001 and SharePoint Team Services (STS) v1 to provide enterprise document management capabilities in STS v1.  From there, I didn't look back on SharePoint.  I gained a great deal of experience in MCS deploying, architecting, configuring, and customizing SPS 2003 and Windows SharePoint Services (WSS) v2.

After my time with MCS, I moved over to take a pre-sales role, focusing on SharePoint and Office as a technology specialist (TS).  I really love working as a TS, working directly with customers, and helping meet user needs and requirements with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS).  I have a unique background in client and web development, but also a pretty deep knowledge of the Office client and how customers can benefit from its integration with MOSS.

One of my biggest professional thrills in life was when I had the distinct opportunity to provide two keynote demos for the Office/Exchange/Vista launch back in 2007.  Kevin Johnson was the keynote speaker and my two demos were to 3200 people (largest Office/Vista launch audience in the world!) on all three topics.  To say I was nervous at first, would be an understatement...I could not type as my hands were shaking!  However, in the end, the live demos wound-up being better than all of my practice runs!  Definitely speaks to being prepared!

Personally speaking, I have a wonderful family, including wife, two daughters, and a basset hound.  I enjoy spending time with my family, jogging, skiing, golfing, and playing around on my XBox 360.  If you are on XBox Live, look me up: IFightFoo.
