Video: Simple CMS for SharePoint from PixelMill

Pixelmill is a web solution provider who, amongst other things, provides easy to use SharePoint site skins (you can see me skin a site in under 60 seconds using their offerings here.) The designer for these solution, Heather Waterman also saw a need for providing rich templates that leveraged SharePoint but that made basic web content management easy for the non-technical end user. In the video below I demonstrate using the PixelMill solution.

Great product!

Thank you for the tip Mike. Once again SharePoint has proven his flexibility. I think it's great that companies like PixelMill are showing that you don't need to actually buy MOSS to have a pretty site in SharePoint. I'm really looking forward to see the result of combining PixelMill's template with the AKS v2.0 which will ship later this year. I hope they will provide great experience.

Nice..

Thanks for the overview.   Very nice product.   I saw that you can incorporate images, but does it allow you to include links, contacts, announcements or documents from other SP libraries?

Even the SharePoint Simple CMS is being offered by Pixelmill it is a product developed in cooperation with B4Contact.
It is a great mix of experience and value. Pixelmill provides the Web design templates and B4Contact provides the integration with SharePoint.
It is possible to include links, contacts, announcements or any thing from a WSS site.
If you need to contact B4Contact please feel free to drop me a line to jose.morales (at) b4contact.com
