I was extremely happy to hear that she was willing to jump in the backseat to discuss InfoPath and its uses with SharePoint as forms, and forms services, is a hot topic as of late. If you ever get a chance to engage Tiffany for training at your location or to attend one of her sessions I highly encourage it. You can learn more about Tiffany and her services at:

Share this Post: 1/23/2009Happy Friday morning all! On my second cup of coffee after sleeping in till 6am this morning and I have some great content to pass along this morning as well as some updates.
First off, I love to see others beginning to get the the blogging/vlogging bug. One of of my colleagues here in the Greater Southeast District has definitely caught the bug and we all can benefit from it. Brent Whichel is my counterpart here based out of Charlotte, NC covering the Office client stack (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). He has recently started up a new blog called Brent Whichel - Everything Office. Over at his blog you will find some great information as well as some great tips and tricks videos that he has started cranking out. If you are looking for information around Office deployment, Office Training, or just some great Office Tips and Tricks videos, then you need to check out his site. While there be sure to leave him comments letting him know what content you are finding useful as well as put in some requests for additional content. I am really looking forward to seeing what else he comes up with moving forward.
I addition to the videos for Office Tips & Tricks being posted to Brent’s blog he also has them added to our Greater Southeast District Videos Wiki to aid in finding. You can find them linked off of the Office Videos wiki page. If you haven’t checked out the Greater Southeast District Videos Wiki you really should give it a quick look. It is a SharePoint wiki where we have a growing body of informational/instructional content delivered in video format. The newer videos are also not only delivered in Silverlight format (so cross browser and cross OS) but are also available as Windows Media Video downloads which means you are free to grab them for your PC or to use with your colleagues. Be sure to check it out.
I also wanted to quick remind you to check out a couple of other postings I had here this week that may be of interest if you have not already seen them. Take a look at:
Lastly, I did do some On the Go recordings the other day during my Charlotte drive but I think I am going to scratch them in favor of re do’s. I was pretty tired and pre-occupied that day so they were not very good. I will try and re do them today and since I will be traveling all day again today. If you do have requests for me to record you can reach me one of three way with your questions/topics. 1-You can send me a direct message via Facebook. 2- You can leave me a topic/question on my personal Facebook wall. 3-end me a “reply” on Twitter by starting it off with @Gannotti. To find me on Facebook you can look-up Michael Gannotti or simply click here. To find me on Twitter you can look up Michael Gannotti or simply click here. I will have my camera hooked up and ready to go so if you have questions around SharePoint, Office, Zune, Xbox, Media Center, Podcasting…. pretty much anything to do with Social Computing, eHome, and Microsoft tools, then ping me per above this morning. I will be making several stops along the way this morning for coffee and such (don't worry not checking my Twitter and Facebook while driving). If you need to add yourself to my friends or follow list I will also be able to accept then so please do so.
Ok so I am lastlying again… (my own word ;-) Wanted to pass along a few Friday reads as well.

10/29/2008Ok folks. For those who have been wondering about some of the amazing stuff headed down the pike with the Office System you have to watch this video from Chanel 9. Posted by LarryLarsen …..
“Wouldn't it be cool if all the Office applications worked online, cross-browser from anywhere with AJAX and/or Silverlight? Or maybe even from your cellphone? What would be even better is if they had real time collaboration, integrating the rich client with the web clients. Well, wish no more because all of the above is going to be a part of the next Office Suite. Want to see how it works? Check out this visit from Antoine Leblond, Senior VP of Office Productivity Apps. We'll show you a little about how this works, why we're doing it, and demo working on documents together with a co-worker.”

Yesterday I received a request from one one of my local team members to post a slide deck online per a client request concerning the Office Fluent UI. The client thought it would be helpful if rather than send an attachment they could instead point people to a downloadable instance. Well after discussing it with him I thought it would be good to also do a quick video presentation of the slides and a demonstration of the features discussed. With that in mind the following video and PowerPoint download cover the new Office interface. I am providing the download in two formats, PowerPoint (ppt for backward compatibility) and PDF.
