After the podcast I then created and posted an example of a music mashup video created with Muvee. Today I am sharing a screencast demonstrating how you can quickly use PowerPoint to create animated cartoons for your site that deliver information or are just plain fun.

Share this Post: 3/9/2009As a quick follow up to my earlier audio post on spicing up your website as well as my earlier blog post on Muvee, I decided to quickly put together a no frill, no effort example. Juts before quickly heading out to drop off my yellow Lab Sasha at the vets I dragged some video clips from TechReady 8 in to the program (done in less than a minute), added a piece of royalty free music (took a few seconds), then set it to run while I dropped off my dog. When I returned 15 minutes later the program had analyzed the video clips along with the music and spit out a video preview which I then saved and uploaded here. If I had wanted to I could have further manually tweeked it but my purpose was to show how easy it was. So there you are a little spice for a site with no muss and no fuss. So what are you waiting for? Highlight events that have passed, generate buzz about upcoming ones. They have free try before you buy versions available for download and the product itself comes in 3 flavors ranging in price from $29 -$59 (I used the middle $39 version) Next video up will be the cartoon creation with PowerPoint one.
