Windows Search 4.0 Has Arrived

Windows Search just got better. Windows Search 4.0 is now available for download. With it you can expect better indexing performance, support for the remote query of shared index locations, per-user group policy settings, and more. I've been using it now for about a week or so and my desktop searches are noticeably faster because of the better indexing. To try it out, select from the following operating environments:

Last July, we implemented a new MSPP Specialization within the Information Worker Competency for Enterprise Search.  You've also heard from many of the Microsoft folks in the past year that Enterprise Search is a key focus for us to get our partners up to speed.  So far, we've had very few partners who have actually obtained the Enterprise Search specialization.
