Great New Tool for Exchange Admins

The Microsoft® Office Visio® 2007 Professional Add-In makes it easy for Exchange Administrators to visualize, explore, and communicate complex information. Instead of viewing single user data at a time, administrators can create data-connected Visio diagrams that display data at a glance and dramatically increase productivity. You can use it to diagram a Microsoft® Exchange Server 2007 site topology, including sites, servers, and connections for an organization.

New! - Microsoft Deployment Toolkit 2008

You've heard me say it many times before, but deployment of our software to customers is a key initiative for me.  Without deployment, license renewals become significantly more challenging down the road.  It's a great opportunity for our partners to make sure that the licenses our customers purchase move from the shelf to the production environment.  So, here is a new set of tools to help you get customers on the latest and greatest stuff.

Your customers rely on you to help ensure their mission-critical systems keep their businesses running smoothly. Maintain that trust with Microsoft Deployment Toolkit 2008, the next version of Business Desktop Deployment 2007. Microsoft Deployment Toolkit 2008 enables you to help your customers automate desktop and server deployment and reduce your cost of delivery. Find updates to support Windows Vista SP1, 2007 Office and Windows Server 2008 in addition to previously supported platforms. Download the Toolkit.

Xobni – THE Outlook add-in

Yesterday I was persuaded to install a new Outlook add-in called Xobni because I kept hearing from some co-workers that it's a very slick product. I totally agree! Xobni, inbox spelled backwards, is a terrific little tool that provides several very cool features to enhance the capabilities of Outlook.

I specifically love the profiles that tell me who I receive from and send to the most, as well as the analysis of when I get messages from a specific individual so that I have a better idea of when I'm most likely to catch someone online (if they don't have OCS and presence enabled yet). The analytics tool is amazing as I can get information in varying views (daily, weekly, hourly average, etc.) on how many messages I receive, how many I send, and even what the median time to respond is for people I send to. Very cool, indeed!

I also get their contact information in an easy to read format, and I can just as quickly get links to files that we've exchanged, and which people they most frequently communicate with.

It's a very cool product, and if you're looking to give yourself a little boost in productivity, I suggest you check it out at http://xobni.com.
