installation questions

I downloaded and installed the SP Admin Kit v2, but there is no option for the Diag Studio - just the other app's like SCW, CMI, Profile replication and load testing.

Am I missing something?

re: installation questions

Bryce,

Check the Setup.exe dialog and ensure the SharePoint Diagnostic Studio is available from the list of available Features - also check <drive>:\Program Files\Microsoft\SharePoint 2010 Administration Toolkit\ and check if SPDIAG.exe is installed.

Thanks,

Bill

SharePoint Diagnostic Studio Not Working On Windows 7 Workstation

When I try to create a new project, I get the "SPDiag has stopped working" dialog box with the "Close program" button.

My workstation is Windows 7 Enterprise 64bit with 12 GB RAM and one 6 core processor.

Thanks in advance for any advice given.

Re: Announcing the SharePoint Diagnostic Studio

Great tool, but unfortunately the DateTime parsing does not work on non-en-US cultures, so it's impossible to render reports

SPDiag doesn't work with non-US date format

Not really useful if it can only report on the first 12 days in a month.  The DateTime Picker reports the date correctly using the current locale (enAU, dd/mm/yyyy) but enters the date as mm/dd/yyyy then correctly complains that it isn't a valid DateTime.
